Lane selection arrows...
Signage: Road markings
Explanation
Lane selection arrows: obligation and possibility of change
- They are road markings painted within each lane that indicate the **permitted directions** in that lane (straight, left, right, or combinations).
- Basic rule: if you are driving in that lane, you are **obliged to follow the direction indicated** by its arrow.
- You can **change lanes** if the **signage allows** it (for example, a broken line and no prohibition signs) and always **safely**.
- Do not change lanes if there is a **solid line**, signs prohibiting it, or lack of safe conditions.
- If you stay in the lane until the intersection, you must **follow the arrow**; if you want another direction, change lanes beforehand when allowed.
