When you see this road marking, what must you do?
Signage: Road markings
Explanation
STOP painted on the roadway: stopping and priority
- The **STOP** road marking requires a **complete stop** of the vehicle (simply slowing down is not enough).
- You must stop **right before the stop line**; if there is none, **immediately before the intersection**.
- After stopping, you must **yield** to all vehicles traveling on the road you are about to enter.
- If there is **insufficient visibility** from the stopping point, you must proceed with great caution and **stop again** at a location with better visibility, without endangering other users.
