The DGT test is the compulsory theory exam for getting a category B driving licence in Spain. It is organized by the Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT) and checks your knowledge of rules, signs, road safety and basic mechanics.
The DGT theory exam has 30 multiple-choice questions, each with three options. Only one answer is correct and you have 30 minutes to complete it. You pass with a maximum of 3 mistakes; with 4 or more, you fail.
