Where must you stop?
Right of way
Explanation
Stopping at a level crossing or drawbridge
- If the crossing is closed or the **barrier/semi-barrier is moving**, you must **stop**.
- Do so **in line**, in the **lane you are traveling in**; on a regular road, the **right lane**.
- Stop behind the **vehicle in front of you**, without **overtaking** or **occupying other lanes**.
- Wait **until you have a clear path** (barriers fully raised and signals deactivated).
