On a motorway, from this sign onward...
Signage: Vertical signs
Explanation
End of the 80 km/h limit (R-501 sign)
- The R-501 sign indicates the **end of a prohibition** that was in force on the previous section.
- If the prohibition was an **80 km/h limit**, upon passing the sign that limit **no longer applies**.
- From that point on, you drive according to the **generic speed limit of the road** (motorway) or the **next sign** that sets a new limit.
- End of prohibition does not mean an obligation to accelerate: adjust your speed to the **road and traffic conditions**.
