What do the signals on the panel indicate?
Signage: Vertical signs
Explanation
Speed limit together with a warning sign for children
The **P-21a Children** sign warns of an **imminent danger** due to the presence of a place frequented by children, such as **schools** or **play areas**. It indicates that in that section it is more likely that children will cross and, therefore, **extra attention** must be paid.
The **R-301 Maximum speed** sign prohibits driving at a speed **higher**, in km/h, than the number indicated. This prohibition applies **from where the sign is placed** until:
- The **“End of speed limit”** sign
- The **“End of prohibitions”** sign
- Another **“Maximum speed”** sign that modifies it
However, when the **maximum speed** sign is placed **on the same post** or **on the same panel** as a **danger warning sign** (for example, the **Children** sign), the **speed limit** ceases to apply **when the indicated danger ends**, that is, at the end of the **hazardous area** associated with that warning sign.
