What does this traffic sign indicate?
Signage: Vertical signs
Explanation
End of the obligation to use dipped-beam headlights (Sign S-24)
The S-24 sign indicates the **end of the obligation** to drive with the **dipped-beam headlights (low beam)** on along that stretch. From that point, you may stop using them if conditions allow. Even so, the general rules apply: you must switch on dipped beam when there is **insufficient visibility**, during the **night** (between sunset and sunrise), in **tunnels or underpasses**, and on **poorly lit roads**.
